Lost distributor Part?

On a Ford Jubilee, I have the insulated part
that fits on the outside of the case and goes
through the case. Is there another insulated
part that goes on the inside of the case?

it is a glorified compression grommet with a conductor thrut he center. copper strip on the inside connects to points, on the outside the wire from the other side of the coil primary.

if your is broke, you can use many things from license plate grommets, plastic fastener wall anchors with an end chopped off, a real grommet, a dab of silicone on a wire run from the coil to the points.. etc.. etc..

Thank you ever so much! I can't tell you how
much that means to me.
I appreciate the fact that you took your
time to post that information.

if you hit a snag, just post or email back.

if you go the wire rout, just make sure it is out of the way of the advance mechanism.

some people LIKE having the more original copper strip. you can make it out of many things and be 'close'.

1, copper or brass foil from a hardware / craft store... cut with construction scissors / tin snips., drill holes at ends.

2, pound a short piece of 3/16 or 1/4 copper water line flat, drill 2 holes for ends.

3, I've even seen one made from a snip of galvanized tin roofing! worked fine! so i left it in place. still running a decade after i found it.
