Hello I am having issues with my hydraulics on my 600. Last
year while using the tractor the hydro didn't seem to wanna
work till the tractor was warmed up and had been running
awhile. Just recently I changed all the fluids. There did appear
to be water in the oil as it was milky. Now that I've filled
everything to spec the arms go up kinda sluggish. If I idle the
tractor up. The arms stop going up or at a slower pace. If the
tractor is at idle they go up sluggish and will be jumpy in a way.
I've removed the cap on the pump several times until no air
came out when I removed the cap. Any ideas what the
problem is? I've looked for a filter or a screen but no luck
there. Pump needing rebuild? Thanks

I had this problem with my 601 get a bushing and nipple to 1/4 in. add a plastic line about 5 or 6 ft. long and let it stick into the fill hole under the seat and let tractor run for a while 5 or 10 min. this will get rid of the air and the hydro should work after this is done

I'm with xring. Try to bleed the pump as he said. Watch for the oil flow though the clear tubing. You'll probably see bubbles at first and then they will slow down and stop. Disconnect the tubing and plug the bleeder pump. The start the tractor and see if the hydraulics improve.

Assuming things look good, let the tractor sit over night. If the symptoms return, you need to replace the wobble shaft and seal in the pump. Post back and we can help.

Another idea is to hard plumb a ball valve off the pump bleeder port, then use clear tubing back to the fill hole. That way you can run the tractor until the bubbles clear, then close the valve and try the hydraulics. Its a short term fix until you can get time to deal with the pump. I've run for months this way.
