I'm wondering. May be too light?

THIS IS A NEW OLD STOCK 2 X 14" TAILGATE LIFT CYLINDER FROM FORD FOR THE GEHL BUILT 551 ROUND BALER. P/N GH066378 IT MEASURES 28" PIN TO PIN COLLAPSED

I'm gonna say "too long"! I'm thinking that 28" pin to pin at mid stroke would prolly be much better! Sticks in my mind that 28" is considered median length for a top link.

Length may be an issue. But I have put flex-link lift arms on, which adds 4 inches anyway. I'm going to have to see if they cylinders will be "beefy" enough.

Flex-link:

I'm thinking it might be a bit long.
Mine is not here but I think it goes from about 17" to 27"
I do like having it able to go shorter like when using on a boom pole it makes the pole lift about 3' higher.
