I have a 1964 4000 sos diesel and it is very aggravating trying to hook any thing to the drawbar. Get things lined up and shift to park tractor will roll about 4 inches. Thinking about going to Alexanders and seeing if they have the brake locks for this tractor the same as on the 4 and 5 speeds. Can the sos be adjusted to keep it from rolling when shifted to park..

I find that mine goes into park much quicker when the oil is warmed up. It came with the parking brakes too.

Ditto what Bern said. Hold the brakes for just a bit after putting it in Park. It'll stay put.

Those older ones do that. I have found that if you wait for 5-10 seconds after engaging park, that they will stay put.

I too have a 64 4000 SOS.

I installed a salvage set of brake locks on mine shortly after I bought it. Very handy.
