As a newbie tractor owner, I am looking for advice on oil for my just-purchased 1966 Ford 2000 3-cyl gas tractor.
Looks like about everyone on this forum is using 15W40 on nearly every kind of tractor. Does that sound right for my 2000?
I know I'll find out when I start refilling, but about how much oil should it hold?
As for brand, I see many 'likes' for Rotella and a few 'dislikes'. Anyone have any explanation for their reasons for liking/disliking a particular brand?
Is there anything special about the filter that I should pay attention to, or does a fairly run-of-the-mill oil filter fit and work well?
Thanks,
FiddlinFarmer
