I recently installed power steering from an 801 to my 650 everything went fine until I installed the sheet metal today the hood rests right on top of the pump so there is no adjustment what am I doing wrong.

If you have the standard "01" pump like the one pictured here, adjust the pump downward so the lid clears the hood lip. Then install a shorter belt.
