Ford 860 vs 3 feet of snow

Finally have a spring thaw in the weather forecast, so I figured I better try to punch a hole in the backyard to let water run away from the walkout basement area of our house. This made the 860 snort a little, but I was able to chew through with the snowblower.

Looks like you have some serious drifts left!
What part of Michigan are you in?
Tractor looks good, glad to see it put to work!

(quoted from post at 23:38:36 03/30/14) I'm just south of Traverse City, and it's been a long rough winter.

That is just awesome! Is that a 2 stage blower? Does it throw it pretty far?

I was wondering how you got down there without chains...now I see the secret sauce? Is that an Elenco?

The blower is a two stage, and will blow fluffy snow about 40 feet. This stuff was a little heavier and only went about 15 feet. The front end is not an Elenco, it is the much more uncommon Sherman N a p c o conversion. This site filter will not allow part of the name without the spaces! Here is the tractor out of the deep snow. I rebuilt the engine last winter and will be taking it back apart for more painting this summer.

After seeing the two red - one white color scheme on some other tractor here recently, I'd say when you have the paint going you should try two blue - one gray on those pie weights ;^)

Snow depth looks exactly like at my house just a few miles west of Traverse City. I have certainly had my fill of it this winter.

I'm looking forward to warm temps and getting the camper out of my way in the pole barn and tearing back into this beast to get the red & gray back where it belongs. I hope to have it at Buckley in August.

Wow! And it looks like it's been melting some too. No stranger to snow, but we don't get anything like that - or at least not in my lifetime.

The Old Engine Show is now a yearly event for me & Mrs. Chili. I'll be looking for that one.
