I had "eagle eyes", my wife, double check and she says 6M27 NOT 8M27.so I guess that makes my machine a 66 model ??? all other numbers are the same. this set of three lines of numbers/letters are stamped not raised.

I found this number on the hyd. cover:
B9NN-A960-A and underneath that number the letter O. part number ?

where would I find the casting numbers for engine, trans., etc.?

thanks.

This is what a raised casting number looks like. This one is on the right side of the transmission housing of my 851 which was built in the fall of 1957. This casting number is in a different format (1957 May 24) than the casting numbers on your 2000 but they still look the same. You will find a similar number on the left front corner of the engine block, the top of the cylinder head, the left side of the rear axle center housing and on top of the lift cover.

I think you had better check those numbers again . I believe it will read 5M27 your serial number 75xxx puts your tractor in the late 1965 range well below the later versions built during 1966-1968 . There is NO ENDING SERIAL NUMBER for the DECEMBER 1965 END OF PRODUCTION for the four cylinder tractors I have seen serial numbers as high as 82000 and 83000 and a guy a South Dakota claims to have 88000 on a 971 but I have no pictures to prove it yet . 2000 Offsets built during the 1966-1968 range have serial numbers just like three cylinder tractors and will begin with the letter C just like the three cylinder tractors do. I do not know what that number you posted off the hydraulic cover is ? but it is wrong the Hydraulic cover will say NCA-501-B and then the date below it . Thanks Tony
