ford 600 wiring problems

hello iv got a ford 600 6v positive ground. im trying to get it running again. i put new battery in and got it to turn over then i noticed arching of some wire (due to corrosion) i rewired the tractor now im not able to get it todo anything wondering if i crossed some wires or something. if anyone can point me in the right direction for some wireing diagrams or something that would be great. iv got the manual for the tractor but it does not she any diagrams.

rewired and now nothing. not even starter?

what ELSE did you do that you aren't telling us?

change key switch?
change start solenoid.


these are the easiest tractors to wire.

for basic testing, a wire from the oem thumb starter switch to the solenoid trigger terminal, bat and starter hooked up.

wire from bat ot thru key to coil primary 1 side.. other side primary out to dizzy, coil secondary to dizzy cap.

that will MAKI it run .. no amp gauge., no charging.

to get charging vreg fld to genny fld, genny arm to vreg arm (gen). vreg bat out to hot side of starter relay, going thru ammeter.

put that hot wire going to key switch on same side of ammeter as vreg bat wire and you are BASICALLY wired to charge, show ammeter net charge, start and run.
