Ignition Switch

We need to replace the ignition switch on our 3600 and doesn't seem like there is enough room to get the switch out. We have removed the gauge cluster. Wonder if anybody knows any tricks.

You are approaching it from the wrong direction. Remove lower cowling (steering gear cover). Four (4) phillips head screws hold it in place.

Remove the nut holding the keyswitch in place, lower it down and swap wires to the new switch.

Thanks for the reply . . . should have thought of that, didn't think the wires would be that long.
