my 631 ford lift only raises 26 in. from ground
I can raise it manually another 5 in. is this normal or is something out of adjustment?

Yes, if memory serves, they should come up about 30 inches.

You may have a worn cam follower pin.

Also, have you tried sliding the quadrant bracket toward the rear of the tractor? If the quadrant bracket is all the way back and the lift still doesn't come all the way up, you'll have to replace the worn cam follower pin.

Edit - Oops, wrong tractor.

No provisions for sliding the quadrant. (Thanks Jesse)

mash onthe draft lever a bit see if it changes anything..

in any even.. i agree with DB.

cam pin likely due for svc.. as well as lift linkage adjustment
