Some sort of wood gasification system? I had heard farmers had done that for war time fuel.

That is a very interesting tractor!
Is it a prototype, it appears to be a modified Major tractor?
Would it be possible to post more pictures of this tractor?

I have 3 buzz saws, only one like that one, it is the Cadillac compared to the others! Very easy to manoeuvre in the bush!

It is a Fordson Model "N" with a wood gasification unit fitted. These units were used by European farmers during and just after World War 2.
The picture was taken at a show in The Netherlands near the German border.
The wood goes in the cylinder just in front of the back wheel.
