Manifold Heaters

One of the Autolite 5002 manifold heaters no longer works on my 961D. Autolite no longer manufactures the 5002. I've come across one reference to a Champion CH3 that can be used in it's place. Is that correct?

Thanks!

I have a few heaters I have removed from 172 diesels. They are Autolite BH12-2 and Champion AG-5. I don't know if either of those part numbers is still good.

I have seen new replacements for those heaters. However, I can't remember or find where. Good luck

OEM Reference equivalent numbers are Wellman 6A843G013, GM 5614213, AC 25G, Autolite BH 12-2, Onan 154-0712, Ingersoll Rand 13120613, CATCO 8T-8013 and CedarRapids 4565255305 and New Holland 86550509. Has a 7/8" Hex and a Metric 18 x 1.5 Thread.

This is excellent information, jdemaris! Thank you.

I did order a Champion CH3 from my local NAPA this morning. Using your info, I cross referenced the Onan 154-0712 the Champion CH3, which I am able to get locally. Hopefully it'll work.

From what I can tell off the Autolite site, the Autolite p/n BH 12-2 is obsolete.

Thanks again for the great help!

Colin

Thank you! Looks like there are a couple of options per jdemaris's post. I'm able to get a Champion CH 3 locally, so I'll try that and see if it works.

They seem to both be obsolete from what I can tell from the Net and from my NAPA parts guy. Going to try the Champion CH3. Thanks for the help!
