I'm rebuilding the lift plate assembly on my ford 3000 ('67) and I am looking for the torque specs for the lift plate and the piston assembly. Does anyone have this handy?

thx

Are you talking about the lift cover under the seat?
That's generally what folks call it as far as I know.
I haven't seen torque specs anywhere. Just get them tight is about all I can suggest. The bolts do go into cast iron so maybe 50 ft/lbs or so.

Thanks! I'll give that a try. I also noticed that the safety wire that goes through the top of the bolts that hold the shaft coming off of the back of the transmission is broken. Should I move the bolts back to their original position and put another piece of safety wire through it. I gut tells me to try and chase down the torque check value just to be safe. I went to the dealer to try and get the values but they are giving me a hard time about it. Probably trying to get me to buy a new tractor.

Thanks again.

According to my I&T FO-31 manual:

The bolts holding the lift cover down should be torqued to 40-45 Ft.-Lbs.

The bolts for the transmission rear support plate for the output and PTO shafts should be torqued to 23-30 Ft.-Lbs.

Thanks! That exactly what I needed.
