Sure is a fine old anvil. Still in tact after all these years.
I wouldn't change a thing on it. Like BANDITFARMER said the only thing to do with somethin' that nice is find a big ol' piece of oak to mount it to. Then put it someplace so you can use it now and again with the pride of knowin' it was yer great Gran Paw Paw's. It's yer duty to pass it on to your youngin's.
How old you figure it is?

I would think mid late to late 1800's,,, Good question it may be the oldest thing around here...
