Saw these at the local wholesale club. Has anyone used either? Looking to change tranny, hydro, and steering fluid in my 75 2000. I think one was $37 and the other $42.

the hd tractor hydraulic oil? Yes.. used it for years now. The cheaper hydro oil does not have the antifoam additives and high temp additives. But the tractor does. Good stuff and great price.

I used some cheap hydraulic oil from Rural King. Doesn't work that well in sub zero temps.

I saw at a bearing place in town they were selling AW32 for $45/5gallon. Just wondering if it would be as good as the expensive 134?

blue one is plain hyd oil. like for JACKS... :)

the green one is UTF, and yeah.. I've used it... works fine. havn't read the spc sheet for viscosity. might be like honey in neg temps.. but in florida.. just about any utf is fine in an old tractor. :)

depending on where you get it, and it's specs... you can get UTF oils as cheap as 20$ for 5g those bargain oils are usually not good in cold weather as they are about like 90wt gear oil originally was.. however. in warmer climates. no a big deal. still light years ahead of what ford poured into his first 39 N

I have seen accell / 303 oil for 20$ per 5g at a few places.. probably as cheap as you will ever find it... again.. in florida.. I don't mind using it...

Generally by the time you get to 35-45$ / 5g you are in decent oil even in the cold.

TSC many times has 5g oil on sale in the 35$ range.

the dealer ambra G or whatever it is called now will be the premium priced oil.

George - Tractor Supply sells Travellers Universal Tractor/Hydraulic fluid, and it says on the label that it meets the Ford New Holland 134D specification. It's usually in the $42.00/5gallon range like the green one in the first post in this thread, but you can find it on sale a few times a year at TSC for around $35.00/5 gallon.

About 5 years ago it was about $35.00 regularly and I found it once back then on sale for only $29.99/5 gallon so I bought a few. The price has been going up slowly but steadily since then. I've used more than half of what I bought, so I'll probably have to get more in a couple of years, so I've been keeping an eye on it every time I go to TSC to see if it might ever be on sale at anything lower than $35.00, in which case I'll probably buy one or two to hedge my bets against future inflation. It's like playing the commodities market.

I go through a lot of oil, so I'd just like to add,
At TSC, save your receipt.
They are very good at giving a price difference refund
if something goes on sale within 30 days of you buying it.
