where is the hydraulic pump on a ford 4000

Which 4000?
Pre 1965 4 cylinder has the pump run off the camshaft on the right, rear corner of the engine.
Post 1965 3 cyl 4000 has the pump in the rear center housing run off the secondary tranny input shaft.

And the 3-cylinder 4000 with a Select-O-Speed has one on the left rear corner of the engine, like a 2/3000, if I remember right.

Yup, that's where it is on my '73 4000 with S-O-S.
