Ford 641 Ignition problem

Hey guys. Having trouble with spark. I installed
new points, condenser, cap rotor etc. My points
do not spark. If i "bridge the gap" between the
edge of the points (not across the contacts) with
a screw driver, i get beautiful blue spark. But
across my contact points, i get a teeny tiny
spark, and sometimes not at all. If i mess with
it and open/shut the points a hundred times, maybe
once or twice it will spark correctly. What am i
doing wrong? I cleaned up the distributor top
plate taht the points mount to, in case it was
dirty, that didnt help. Replaced condenser and
coil both with known working components. Didn't
help... Tried two new sets of points, didnt
matter.

any ideas??
This should be simple, ive installed a hundred
sets of points on other tractors.

Depending on where you got the points from some companies coat them with a protective coating so they do not corrode sitting in the box in the store. Take a points file if you have one and run it between the points few times and try again. If you do not have a file take a flap off the box fold it rough side out and run that between the points a few times and try again. Or the condenser maybe bad right out of the box. Been decades since I have changed a condenser
