Recovering Steering Wheel-860

Anyone know of a business that recovers steering wheels? Minnkota used to however, they are no longer in business as of June this year. I know the repro steering wheels are so cheap one would wonder why you'd want to recover one however, both my Dad & Grandpa used the steering wheel on my 860 so I'd like to be able to use it also

Brownells gunsmith supplies used to sell a material for bedding and some people use to use it for fixing, repairing hard rubber pistol grips with it they are on the net check them out. al

I know of no one who recovers steering wheels now that Minn-Kota has left the business (sadly).

That said, even Minn-Kota recovered steering wheels with modern plastics rather than the OEM Bakelite.

I know of no one that has recovered steering wheels with Bakelite for decades.

Buy an aftermarket wheel for $40 or $50 or search patiently for a GOOD OEM wheel as I have done.

Those steering wheels were covered with hard rubber.Thats why you got black hands after a long day on the tractor.I have a Model A steering wheel hanging up in the shed shop, its hard rubber.

Is your steering wheel falling to pieces, or just lots of cracks? I repaired mine using filler, then many coats of plastikote.....turned out great, but it was not falling apart to start with.
