I have a 8000 ford tractor and number 5 injector is blowing the line off and if I crack the line at the pump it leaks fuel but it runs good - had the injector checked and it"s fine - it"s like it"s pumping to much fuel into that cyclinder for some reason - can someone please tell me what would cause this - thank you

I don't see how the pump could make more pressure for one injector. I would suspect stripped threads on the inside of the fitting on the line.

Check the line to that injector. It is probably clogged and causing too much back pressure which is causing the pump to not pump properly to any of the cylinders when the fitting on the line to that injector is tight. Loosening it and letting it leak means for sure that it's not firing on that one cylinder when it "runs good". It's got to be running on 5 cylinders when it's running. So once you solve the problem and get it to run with that line tightened down it's going to "run great" instead of "run good".
