Baffle(d) plates on lift cylinder: gasket or no gasket?

Hi, All,

reassembly time. The FO-20 shows no gaskets under
the baffle plates at either end of the lift
cylinder. When I disassembled mine, there were
gaskets there. Gasket or no gasket?

BTW, I got the yoke off the plunger with propane
alone.

thanks!

You talking about where the cylinder mates to the cover? No gaskets, just orings. If not, then at least myself needs more info...

nope. I mean the plates that bolt on to the ends of
the lift cylinder and contain the control and
unloading valves. See pic.

The New Holland parts site shows a gasket at only one of those plates.

The flat one (lower one in your picture) is called the "Hydraulic Lift Safety Control Valve Plate" and that one has a gasket. The gasket is part number NCA901B.

The other plate with the raised curved section (upper one in your picture) is called the "Baffle & Plate Assembly" and that one does not have a gasket.
