Is a 7" brushhog to much to pull for my 4600 diesel tractor? I"ve been using a 6" with no issues.

It will handle it if the cover is not too heavy and/or you do not try to mow to quickly.

You will likely need front weights if you have steep ground and/or you plan to lift the mower on up slopes.

Depends on what you're cutting... In most situations it should be fine. In very heavy cover you may need to take a reduced width cut. We have a 6' on our 4000 and it works the snot out of her in heavy grass/weeds/alder. In light going you don't even know it's there.

ditto what the others said. especially on the front end weights. my 4600 has a old and very heavy servis 6' (rhino ) mower on her. as sais. if cutting down thicket.. it works her. in regualr junk. don't notice it.

weights will NOT be optional...
