7710 LOADER

I've never heard of a 7410 HD, however I do know that a standard 7410 is lighter than a 7412.

I would not put a standard 7410 on a 7710 tractor - you'll tear it up. Even the 7412 is none too heavy for it. The 7412 is designed to fit the 7710.

There was a 7410HD and I think it's intended purpose was the 7710... I used to have the literature around here for those loaders. I think the 2WD 7710 kind of fell into a hole where the 7412 mabey wasn't quite a good match and the 7410 was no match... but I know the 7410 was available with two different size bucket cylinders... possibly the HD version...
Regardless, I don't think I'd waste my time on it. I do know that the front frame of the loader is not deep enough on a 7410 to go around the 7710's hood anyway. We tried that many years ago.

Looking at this tractor at binghamton.craigslist.org/grd4020670676.html Appears to be # on loader. Trying to decide if i should make the trip too look at tractor.

I have two generations of 74xx loader literature, both FNH and NH. Neither mention the 7410 HD, although I do see the 7410 HD in the NH parts catalog. I don't recall ever seeing any literature for it back in my dealer days.

I scanned a couple of pics from my loader literature. The picture is of a 7710 with the 7412 loader. The compatibility chart would indicate that the 7710, even a 4WD model, could be fitted with either loader, however as you said, the standard 7410 would be no match.

I once put a 7412 on a 7610 4WD (modified the brackets), and even that loader eventually tore itself up, although the oversized bucket we made for it likely didn't help.

I can't remember for sure where I saw that or how I know anymore. The one I've got might be an 'HD' for all I can remember right now. lol I might take a look tomorrow if I think of it.

I think you have the same literature I had.
What I do know is that when we bought the 7410 loader it was mounted on a 3930... and we noticed in the literature at the time that it could be mounted on a 7710... so we bought the brackets and had the dealer fit them.. then we found out that they wouldn't fit the 7710... Regardless, the 3930 was more than up to the task of destroying the loader... and the loader quite capable of destroying the front end of the 3930 on multiple occasions. I've got boxes of broken planetaries around.

From the New Holland parts site, it looks like it's easy to tell the difference between a 7410 and 7410 HD. The cross piece on the nose of the frame is a separate piece and bolts to the two side frames on the regular 7410, and the cross piece is welded on the HD so that the entire frame is all one piece. It lists different part numbers between the two models for the lift arm assembly and lift cylinders as well, but you can't tell what the exact differences are between them.
