Cavitation-Deisel 's

I have heard this happens, I have a 3 cyl Ford 4000. Seems to make a noise,( like low fluid in PS) above 1200 rpm's. I have re-done PS, filter and fluid, O-rings and gaskets. bled Hydraulic pump, cannot find the cause. Could this be coolant cavitation around cyl.??? Thanks

Any foam or bubbles in the hydraulic oil or power steering oil? If there are, pump(s) are sucking air and making the noise. Air can come from a seal on the pump is worn out or loose fitting or bad hose. Any small oil leaks?

Also, a correctly installed power steering filter is critical on ford to keep if from bubbling.

4000s usually dont have the cavitation problem. So are you just hearing a strange noise?
