RE: Ford 2000 dual clutch

I posted awhile back about problems with dual clutch I'd replaced. I want to thank all of you guys who gave me input. I found out it wasn't the adj on the fingers but we had broken the pto clutch disk while putting the tractor back together. Which intern bent the other clutch plate. So I replaced both clutches again! I also found out the company sent me the wrong drive clutch. I now know why some of you stated that a dual clutch is not for a first timer. Well now I'm experienced and know how to deal with a dual clutch. Thanks Again

Good to hear you got to the bottom of it. Even though it was an expensive fix.

Like you, I was advised not to try the double clutch replacement on my 660. They said you can't set up the clutch without the right tooling. That is the case if you pull the clutch pack apart, but if you purchase the new assembly from Tisco, it a easy bolt in. Actually easier than a standard single clutch.
