5610 - Sliding rear wheels in

What is involved in sliding the rear wheels in on a 5610?
We need to make this tractor about 2" or 3" narrower, so that it will fit on my lowboy.

Get a wider trailer...

There's no sliding these things. Just plain old miserable bull work. The centers in the wheels need to be moved around. IIRC, there's 8 possible track settings based on weather the wheels are set with the stems in or out, the dish on the front or back, etc.
If by chance it has power adjust wheels then you loosen the lock bolts and turn the wheel ahead or back to get the desired width... then pray they retighten. Most of these operations generally involve heat, torches, air guns and new bolts along with a lot of cursing.
Suddenly driving over fenders or a set of outriggers don't look so bad...
