TW 35 Running Better

Still got a few problems, but getting along much better now. After changing the top radiator hose & clamps & refilling w/antifreeze, things seem better - not 100%, but much improved. The last few days I've run it, it would spit coolant briefly 3-4 times, and nothing more. Ran Sat & checked it today & it took 2 qts. to bring it back to full mark. Ran it today (much cooler here - highs in 70's)& it put a few drops on the hood twice, and spit out a small amount once. Not sure if maybe the radiator needs a professional cleaning, or maybe the fan clutch is going bad. Looked at where belt is in pulley like jbirnsch said. It's a bit below sides of pulley. Belt is tight, and I've heard fan roar. I think I'll be o.k. w/that until after harvest. 2 other things: right front tire is wearing on the outside - doesn't stand up straight when you look directly at it. Not sure how to adjust it. Also, the fuel gauge doesn't work. Since I got the instrument panel back last summer, all but the 2 segments on the left lit up & blinked. Then today, I noticed the middle segment and the one to the left of it was lit up (neither one blinking). Any clue what I need to check - for either problem?

If your tire is truly leaning, you either have bad wheel bearings or worn king pins. If there is no oil leaking from the hub, I'd lean towards worn king pins. Jack it up and see what's loose.

The dash should light up all 8 segments when you first cycle the key. If it does not, then you'll need to send the dash back to the repair shop. Ag Express is who I recommend. If they were the ones who worked on it last, they might stand behind their work.

No oil leaking. How hard are king pins to replace?

Ag Express is the one who rebuilt the dash last year. I'll look when I turn the key here in a bit and see if all 8 light up. It was flashing at me when I got it back last year. Figured it might be some other problem. Thanks for all your input. You tips on the antifreeze problem were a tremendous help. I may see if I can get a pic of the wheels - compare right to left. Thanks again.

Ok. Got my mowing done today. Tractor ran great. Checked the fuel gauge when I turned the key on. Not all 8 light up. All but the left 2 light up & blink. For the first couple of hours, 2 in the middle lit and didn't blink. Sometime after, it went back to 6 blinking. For what it's worth, temp gauge also never lights up more than the 1 bar on the left.

Hey Bern. Got the pics here. Please let me know if you can tell anything from them.

I tried to find kingpins or whatever the NH parts website might call them, and didn't find anything that I thought was labeled close.

Part number 33 in the attached image is what you want. Hopefully the casting is ok. Looks like it rides on bearings so maybe a bearing out. Never messed with the FWD on one of these.

Love the NH my shed app on the iPad. Can find parts and submit a list to my dealer right from the app.

Wow. Thanks J. I looked on the NH website but couldn't find that part. I guess I need to move a little further into the 21st century and get an Ipad - or something similar. Hey, how hard was it to change the fan pulley & bearing on your TW 30? I'm not so sure my fan clutch is working all the time and wouldn't mind to go back to a direct drive fan.

Ah. Just found the page you posted here on the NH site. Must've overlooked it.

I had to remove the fan bracket 23b to press out the bearing. Wasn't too bad but had used a 20 ton hydraulic press that was available. Got the replacement pulley from A&I. The new bearing I got from the NH dealer.
