I am so very glad to have all you guys here to help me out.
My last thanks was fairly uni-directional towards Bern, but
all of y'all have helped tremendously! Here's what I know
now...the bores are 4.2, which is a good thimg since that's
the gasket I ordered. That first piston (#2 I think?) the one
in the front of the tractor is definitely loose. I used all eight
of my arms to get around the loader with a cresent wrench
on the bolt head, I could rotate the crank back and forth.
Then, with my tongue on the piston itself, I could easilly
feel the piston "jump" while rotating.back and forth.
This means there is something wrong where the piston
connects to the crankshaft, correct? Bearing, bushing etc.
can be the problem, but the question for me is how to find
out, and how to tell which it is. I failed to bring my manual
from the barn, so right now I'm blind, but some quick info
from you guys would do me some good.
Also, I think this is for sure my knocking problem, but what
about the bubbles in the radiator?
