Recently acquired a 1964 Ford 4000, blue and white in color. I am wanting to get some spray can paint for touch-up. Can anyone tell me a source and the color name for the white portion. Thanks for the help!

Check with New Holland,I think your tractor was blue and grey,I think they did make some industrial models that were blue and yellow also, the grey looks white when it fades.

As Mike advised, the tractor was originally blue and grey. The grey was the same shade from 1947-1964 and the blue was only used from 1962-1964.

You will likely get a better match if you remove a part and get a paint retailer to color match it for you.

There is a lot of discussion on the correct paint for early Ford tractors but here are paint codes for the original shade of grey:

CNH: M1J-957-SE5DS
Tisco: TP240
PPG: 32675
Centauri: 250202
Van Sickle: 457
Martin-Senour: M2J957

It is Ford light grey but looks like white. I used Tisco paints on JDs and the color is not OEM. On fords, the early 1000 series used a different color of blue than the later 3 cyls. The early models was kind of greenish and later more pure blue. Get the two tractors side by side and you can clearly tell the difference. Your Ford/NH dealer may stock the paint......or get it for you.

It is called LIGHT gray it is very much lighter than the 1963 and earlier. I have '57 '59 '61 '71 '93 When I got the '61 it had been painted '64 on. Now it is the light gray of the '01s, which is very different from the 100s which is very different from the 9Ns. Fiat does not really care about the colors of old Fords.
