1970's 4000 Diesel w/ 8 speed?

Well, it's a 4000 variant... but it has radius rods and a non-adjustable front axle. Woods tractor? Wouldn't bring as much as a regular 4000, but that would still be cheap, "here".

Yup, 4000 series rear axle, but dual radius rod front axle, but only single sided steering arm.

The model number on the sticker looks like it ends in U312E, The only model I can find that start with xU3 is a CU3, which is a 340 Industrial model, which did have a dual radius rod front end and single sided steering arm, so that me be what it is. The E at the end may be a C though, because E would mean that it's an S-O-S, and they didn't offer that trans on the 340, and even if it were an S-O-S, then it should have independent PTO, but the 2 before the E means that it has Live PTO, not independent.

I had been looking in my early '70's literature and
couldn't match it up with anything. My early '80's
sales literature shows a CU312C as a 340 Industrial
with 175 c.i. diesel, 8-speed, and transmission PTO.
An 8-speed with ind. PTO would be a CU314C.

Jerry,
It was a 340 that was painted blue and had no FEL. It looked like a 4000D w/ 8 sp to me. Good rubber. $3000.
