You left out the important detail- is it a 1962-1964 4 cylinder 2000 or a 1965-1975 3 cylinder 2000? The clutches are completely different.

Another important detail not stated is whether it is a single stage or two stage clutch. Weldingman assumed that it was a two stage, but the original post did not specify that, but his reply to Weldingman makes it seem like the assumption was correct, but you never know.

Searching through his history of posts, i found this:

"I've got a 3 cyl ford 2000 with a 8 speed"

and in another I found this:

"but how hard is it to split the double clutch? "

So I assume that he's talking about a 3 cylinder with a double clutch.

The reason I assumed 3 cyl. was because he said diesel. Personally I have never seen a 2000 4 cyl diesel. Yes, I know they made a 144 diesel,but they are few and far between, and I've never seen an 8 speed in a 2000 that didn't have a 2 stage clutch,but of course my assumptions could have been wrong.Just going with the most common.
