3400 axle housing swap

I have a 3400 that the 3pt hitch pintat goes into the axle housing has worked loose and leaks.is there any way to repair this right without pulling the axle housing? I don't want to weld it BUT. Will a round axle tube interchange with a square one if I go swap it? both have dif lock.

It's not that hard of a job to pull the left trumpet, pull the differential out and fix either/ both leaking pins from the left side.
I Hate seeing welding on a machine where a little wrenching would have fixed it correctly.
I have never seen a round trumpet with diff lock.
But maybe they made them. Who knows.

Our '64 Super Dexta 2000 had differential lock and I'm 99.9 % sure it had round trumpets. FYI

I had the same problem some time back. Like Ultradog says, its not that difficult to do. I posted pictures back then. If you can not locate them, email me and I'll send them to you.

Super Dexta vs 3000/3400 is kind of like comparing turnips and onions.
Yes they're both vegetables/tractors but there the similarities pretty much end.
