Help.. Would anyone have the procedure to adjust the knotter tension..Problem is the twine on the bales are too loose..I cannot find a service or operators manual online.I only have a parts mnaual.....Your help is appreciated..thk.

You can buy print operators manuals from NewHolland. Might be 30 bucks or so.

If the twine is loose you can try tightening the twine tension on the end of the twine box above the knotter. Try to keep both sides even in terms of the force require to pull it out... Beyond that... make the bales tighter.

Your problem is probably not the twine tension but the chamber tension. this is at the back of the baler, the two big cranks. You can also get loose twine and bales with a very small windrow. If you ever run around a field like I do sometimes after finishing baling, to pick up skipped bunches here and there the result is a very loose bale.

Yep. If the bales are too loose, you tighten the 2 big cranks on the back, equally. turning them clockwise makes the bale tighter, anti-clockwise makes them looser.

Where are you located?

Clean all the hay out of the bale chamber and make sure there is no build-up on the sides. Also check the baffles bolted to the sides and make sure they aren't worn out. My family wore out several of these balers.

Thks. to all for the responses I will verify the adjustments you all have suggested. New Holland do not have an operator manual available for the ford baler 532.. The only manual available is a parts amnual which I bought...thks...
I am located in Ottawa Cda.....thks
