Ford 961 transmission (5 speed) shifter info

I know that I have seen a shifter lockout for this transmission that blocks the gear shift from going down into the 4th -- 5th gear shift gate.
It is a simple gizmo that bolts to the transmission cover and has a tab that you can flip up to block the shift lever. Easy enough to make yourself, but for 20 bucks, hardly worth the time to make it. I know I have seen it on at least 2 tractor parts websites, but now that i want one, it seems to be made of unobtanium. I can't find one anywhere.
If anyone knows who sells this item, I would appreciate knowing where to get it.

Thank you, Wayne

I have searched high and low lately with no hits. I'll for sure follow up on your lead.

I have the lock out on my 860 and 961 tractors.

Quite handy for some purposes, e.g., FEL work.

buy it if you like.. but a standard door hinge from like a house door will work.

find 2 holes the near match and drill them out. cut a recess in the bottom piece to hug up near the base of the switch. cut the half moon in the top piece to hug n touch the base of the switch. if it still travels too far, cut a large washer in half and weld to the top.

i made one like that for my 950 mowing tractor. think it took 5m in the shop. I just hacked the top sides of the hinge off so it took less space.

Soundguy,
I had originally intended to make one, but a recent injury has killed my enthusiasm for fiddling around in the shop. Maybe when I get back to work, I can find the time to do one unless I just buy one first. There is usually an abundance of odds and ends laying around for materials.

i hear ya on odds n ends.

mine came from junk washer and old hinge in the parts bucket. a welding rod and some grinder time. looks rough.. but works 100% fine for that old beater 950 i have it on.. which is a reverse parts machine itself. has parts of like 7-8 tractors making it up.. mutt for sure..
