Need help to identify Ford Tractor

I recently acquired this Ford tractor and I was believing it to be a 4000. I don"t think it is though. I know I need to take a picture and post it if I can figure out how.

The serial number is eaten away from battery acid. the hood is rusted about half away. It has a 4 cylinder diesel engine and a select o speed transmission. The back tires are 32". I was told it was a 61 model. The transmission disconnect is at the left heel. Are there casting numbers I can send to help identify this tractor? I would like to order a tractor manual. I am thinking it may be an 800 series. Any suggestions is appreciated.

Not an 800 series if its diesel, but possibly an 801 series. 871/881.
Look like this one? (photo borrowed from Google)
Edit - 1961 would also fit the 801 series years.

Everything that you described so far could be either 801/901 or 4000. If it is indeed a '61 it is an 801 or 901. If there is a little air scoop in the top front of the hood it is most likely a 4000. The 801/901 did not have that little scoop.

There is no scoop unless it is rusted away. It looks similar to the picture Royse sent except the air intake is about 2 feet above the hood behind the exhaust manifold.

The "scoop" would be on the top of the hood in the front.
It sort of replaced the round nose badge. Nose badge and grills would
be way different, but they could be swapped, so that's not a slam-dunk ID.
Here's a pic of my 4000 rowcrop.

I was wrong about the scoop on the front of the hood. It does have the scoop mentioned. So now from what I read it must be a 4000. I have taken a picture and will post it. Please confirm what this tractor is. Thanks guys.

There is the remote possibility that it is an 801 with 4000 sheet metal, but other than that it is a 4000. Since there is negligible difference between an 801 and a '62-63 4000 it wouldn't really matter. It appears that yours has the original SOS transmission as opposed to the 2nd gen which I believe came out in '63, which would make yours a '62.
