I have a 1955 Ford 600. When I try to use my 3 point hitch the arms won't lift. I've checked the fluid levels and there fine. i removed the plate just below the seat. when tractor started it shot a stream into the air. The part on the right side of the tractor under the battery. I took a part and changed the rubber gaskets and undone the big nut with a spring and pulled the rod out. It still doesn't work.

Sounds like pump is doing at least some pumping, so that likely points to control valving/linkage not working properly. Have you ever known it to function correctly? When last time that itworked?

had you posted about this before all that work it might have been a lil less work.

1, if you have oil at the pipe plug under the seat.. then the most likely cause of no lift arm movement is a sticky unloader valve.

15$ gets you a hyd top cover gasket / oring kit..

I believe your pump has lost prime. You either
need to remove top plug on pump and fill with oil
it may take 2-3 times or we used to put air press
in the dipstick hole as that would back oil up to
the pump-takes a little patience. Cause of getting out of prime are the o rings on the supply and return pipes need replacing. Chuck
