NAA Hydrauic question

Location
NE Ohio
I am helping a friend with his 1954 NAA. He is trying to install a FEL with tilt bucket.
The Aux valve he has needs to return to tank somewhere. Can anyone post a pic of the best place to install the drain port?

Thanks!

if you need a return to hyds sump on the tracor, and your valve is not setup for it, then you have a couple ez options.

drill nad tap for a elbox fitting into the fill cap for the hyd sunder the seat. return is low pressure, so you could get a 3/8 elbow that had pipe threads on one side and a hose barb on the other.. or you could go hyd line..e tc.

another location would be at the inspection port plate.. could pull that and drill / tap for a return fitting.

O.k., I was hoping one of the many ports and plugs on the sides would be a good candidate.
Do you have any examples of ones you've done?

Thanks again,
Jim

doesn't take too much imagination to take the fill cap off and drill it and tap it for a fitting.

same with the side cover.

on my naa i had one of the skilled machinists here modify the blank cover so i could use a generic oc valve as a remote.

all my other tracors except 1 that have an aux hyd valves have da valves.

i do have 1 tractor with a simple diverter.. but it has SA hyd loader. I no longer have any setups that use return to tank hose like that.

I believe TOH ( that skilled machinist i spoke of ) may have pics of a return to tank cap cover he makes.
