clutch problem

I have a 74 ford 3 cylinder ford 2000 with 8 speed trans and dual stage clutch. Got the tractor stuck the other day and had a rough time getting out now the clutch pedal seems to be weaker and has 2 inches of free travel. Bale hay yesterday with tractor and clutch doesn't slip but the pedal seems softer. I am wondering if I should adjust free travel,if so do I adjust clevis or the adjustment onthe clutch arm
Thanks joe

I recently had the same thing happen on my 3000. Turned out the trans clutch had broken into pieces. Sometimes a piece gets caught between the clutch and pressure plate and you suddenly have slop in the pedal. I would say chances are you have to replace the clutch. Here's a photo of how mine looked.

If you want to adjust clutch and see if it will work, turn the fork on end of threaded rod. I don't think it will work but it's worth a try.
