861 hydraulic outputs

Hey all.. I have my 861 gasser all together and has been running like a champ so far this year after a winter rebuild.

Now I'm in the market for maybe upgrading a few things on it. I have my eyes on a 703 loader that hs all the brackets/pump and hoses with a hydraulic dump bucket.

1st, what would it take to add some hydraulic output on the rear with this set up?

2nd, what would it take to add them if I am unable to gett he loader bought so I can use a pull behind brush mower with hydraulic cylinder for height control?

Thanks for the help again!

Single and dual spool remote hydraulic valves are available both new and used to fit your 861. Complete units are a simple bolt-on at the accessory plate beneath the seat.

The going rate for a good used single spool valve is usually around $200 - $250, while that of a dual spool is usually $450 - $560.

Sit down before pricing new units, e.g., TISCO.

You will need a dual spool valve to operate a fully hydraulic loader and may be disappointed with the cycle time of the loader using the tractor hydraulic pump. A better set-up for a loader is a crankshaft driven front pump.

if you want a remot ont he tractor.. you got 3 options.

1 IF you put onthe laoder nad it has a pump.. then just get anover valve bank.

2, if no loader.. thent he EASIEST.. though not the cheapest way to get a rear remote is to buy a bolt on top cover valve. new I believe you will pay 400-500$ easy. used.. half that. simply bolt on and oring placement.. remove the blank cover.. bolt on with new orings. plumb the in/out lines to qd;s e tc.

3, cheapest is to buy a power beyond plate.. sandwich it under the blank cover on your hyd top cover. plumb it to a basic remote valve with qd's probably about the same price as buying a used DA single spool in option 2... with the benefit that you could add other valves if needed.. mind you you are dealing with a max of about 4gpm.. etc.

1 if loader. 2-3 your call. 2 is easy / fast/ 3 requires the palte and a valve and a lil extra hosing. if you just need 1 DA valve. 2 would be my bet.

On a loader I would not want to run it off the factory hyd pump but a front driven crank shaft pump.
As for the brush hog you can if you can find one add and aux hyd control to the on board system that will do that just fine

he said if he gets a loader it will have it's own pump. h's asking baout a remote for a mower lift cyl. ie.. low volume. oem pump is fine for that.

C if you note the 2nd line I told him on the brush hog adding and aux control would work just fine

so far 2 people have told him the oem pump is not good for a laoder.

he didn't ask about that.

sometimes too much info sends people the wrong way. :)

didn't want him to get confused. :)

I had a loader on my 960. Used a PTO pump, tank and two spool valve. Really fast. Of course it ties up your PTO,, If interested let me know. Sold the loader. Guy didn,t need the pump. jps

This is my solution for remote hydraulics. Under the seat, you can see the unpainted adapter plate that feeds the spool valves on the running board. I bought this from this site for $60 or so. On top of that with fresh red paint is one type of dual spool remote valves for a cleaner, easier install as Soundguy mentioned. Either solution work for getting remotes that are independent of the loader setup. I use the red remote valves for my loader, and the running board valves control a grapple for the loader, a hydraulic top link, and other accessories when needed. Yea, it's overkill, but I like it.

Yes there is that fine line between giving to much info and giving not enough. Me I prefer to give a bit more then to not give enough
