The original subject was "Re: 711 loader brackets for a 960".
soundguy,
I made the 711 brackets for my 960 last week that you sent me the templets for. They worked out great and we put the loader on the tractor this weekend. Since I did not have a remote valve I had to "chain" the lift arms down. I made drawbar stays and used a pin to fasten them above. The loader worked great until I reached max height and it bent the straps like spaghetti. (As you can see in the attached photo). I noticed in one of your posts you mentioned chaining the lift arms to the axle. Could it be the straps I used were not strong enough or do the lift arms need to be secured in a particular position for the oil to bypass the tractor ram cylinder and utilize the loader only? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
