soundguy,

I made the 711 brackets for my 960 last week that you sent me the templets for. They worked out great and we put the loader on the tractor this weekend. Since I did not have a remote valve I had to "chain" the lift arms down. I made drawbar stays and used a pin to fasten them above. The loader worked great until I reached max height and it bent the straps like spaghetti. (As you can see in the attached photo). I noticed in one of your posts you mentioned chaining the lift arms to the axle. Could it be the straps I used were not strong enough or do the lift arms need to be secured in a particular position for the oil to bypass the tractor ram cylinder and utilize the loader only? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

"Could it be the straps I used were not strong enough"

Uhhh.....yes.

The question is "Do the arms need to be secured in a particular position for the oil to bypass the tractor ram cylinder where it can then be utilized for loader operation only? Or is the lift arms going to have the same pressure no mater where they are secured?

s long as they are NOT at top of travel, all will be well. So you have a wide range of good.

loose those long bars that can deflect tot he side. a couple pieces of short chain and you are in business.
