To replace front pivot or not on 850 ?

I have her up where i can slide the center axle back and forth on the pivot pin. Radius rods are off as well as tie rods.Sprayed kroil in crevices. Pivot pin appears round.Radius rods are straight.I can move center axle back to front though.Suggestions?
 
The axle is held in the proper location by the radius rods so if the center pin is still good and the hole in the axle is not all wallowed out and eggshaped I wouldn't worry too much about it.
You should see some tractors that have had a loader on them - cracked bolster, pin half worn through, etc, etc.
 
need to pull that pivot bolt and check the bearing in the axle.

the top of the axle bearing gets worn down and next it wearing into the axle itself.

the bronze bearing inserts are not that much, most old tractors need new bearings by now.

I replaced the axle bearing in my old to-35 fergy, now I keep it lubed with spray graphite from napa.

always a difference of thought on if this wear point should have had a grease fitting.

you do not want the axle hole to get egg shaped due to the bearing wearing through, if so you have to have the axle hole rebuilt to accept the new bushing..
 
If it's not too damaged or welded in place that pin should unscrew. I used a ripper off my box scrapper as a tool to fit between the ears and turned that with a large cressant wrench. The upper half of my threads (both male and female) were gone, but it still screwed out ok. I looked into fixing the threads at a machine shop, but they wanted $400-500 to fix it. So I got a new pin and locking flange for $20 (from John Smith) and put it back together with a load of locktite. Also replaced the bushing on the center piece.
 
Thanks guys i was able to get it out with a little heat from a propane torch and a piece of bar stock with a high hex nut welded to it.
