I went ahead and purchased a rebuilt pump and I
can not get it to prime and it does flow out a
little oil and I can put my thumb on the plug hole
and it does not build up enough pressure to push
my thumb off, replaced relief valve checked for
leaks checked backpressure valve and I cant get it
to work, put air pressure through filler plug and
it makes the oil come out better at the pump but
still want build up any pressure. Is there anything
else I can do before I send pump back? I think the
pump is good sounds like it has good suction when
turning it by hand. Thanks for any help!!!

Sounds to me like the pump is primed. I would bet on a sticking unload valve in the lift cylinder - likely your problem to begin with.

Well I don't have any pressure out the remotes and they are plumbed into the plate that sandwiches between the plate on top the lift cover

illy, you won't see 2000# unless lifting a very heavy load, BUT you should see (feel in your case) about 40#, as this is the relief point of the back pressure valve which is where all the flow passes when not lifting ("hold posn", "lower"), when unloader valve is in "unload" position. So, in my opinion, unless you "feel" somewhere around 40#, your pump isn't pumping. Could be bad pump, air leak somewhere on suction side, or seal leaking air in pump....

My opinion... you most likely have a stuck unloader. Second to that a stuck relief. Third... a flow control that's set to dump all of the pump flow and is stuck in that position. Logic states that if the first pump quit working and the replacement still doesn't work... then the pump is not the problem. Look elsewhere.
