ford 4000 select-o-matic wont move

I was mowing and the tractor just quit moving. it starts and runs great and all the fluids are fine. I am told to look for a filter but i dont know where to look. can anyone tell me where would be the place to look for the filter and how to check if it is plugged. what would be my next route to take if that isnt the problem. I am concerned about getting it back up to the barn. is there a pressure relief lever i can adjust to get it out of gear. when i start it i can put it in any forward or reverse gear but it wont move. when it quit moving the pto was engaged but when i started it back up the pto now wont engage at all.

Loss of both traction and PTO is almost certainly the result of a failed torque limiting clutch and/or stripped input shaft.

Disconnect the traction disconnect clutch to allow towing. See owners manual.

It's important to note whether you have an early or late 4000 SELECT-O-SPEED. Dean's diagnosis is likely right on no matter which, but traction disconnect procedures are slightly different.
