Ford 600 800

Are the parts interchangable between these 2 models? Or at least enough parts to make buying a $500.00 Tractor for parts worth while. I am only used to Green ones and a friend asked me this question. Thanks for any comments.

Many parts will swap. The 800 has a bigger differential, and of course a bigger displacement engine. But even there, you can swap assemblies when you can't swap individual parts. You can't touch one around here for $500, except maybe a burned one... I'd buy it.

Both take the same parts with the exception of the 800 has a 172 cui block and the 600 has a 134 cui block, thus two size of pistons also. And the differential housing and components are different

ditto what others said.

you will also see different axles ont he larger machiens. and at some sn point you will see spline differences when micing 00 and 01 so depending on your donor machines.. you may have to swap assemblies instead of parts.

fir instance. a common deal on the pinion coupler tube it to split a fine and coarse and weld together..e tc..

The 800 fuel tank is larger and NLA so it's worth something more then scrap $.
