Hello
I have a 800 I"m working on for a friend and he wants me to install aux hyd valve, anyone done this or is it possible?
Thanks in advance.

I've heard of a couple different ways, but probably the easiest
if you can find the valve is to mount the original style spool valve
under the front of the seat.
Just remove the blank cover that should be there now and bolt it on.
This is a dual spool, there was also a single spool.

Can be done pretty easy if you can find the aux ford valve that bolts on to the plate where the pressure check plug is. Problem is finding one and then the cost of it as in $500 give or take a bit most of the time

Ok thanks so it is that plug on the Trans there that tractor in
the pic looks a little newer than what this is. It's painted red
and has the shifter that goes up and down with a spring and
the starter button is next to it will this plug be in the same spot
I guess? Also is the relief for the pump in the Trans and do
these have a filter anywhere? Thanks again

It's not on the transmission, it's on the top cover of the rear axle center housing, just to the rear of the transmission. The easiest, in terms of finding something new to do the trick is to buy a hydraulic adapter plate that goes under the existing option plate and gives you a couple of extra ports that you can then plumb to any aftermarket control valve that you like. This site sells the adapter plate [u:ad594c46ba]Here[/u:ad594c46ba]

This picture is of a newer tractor, a 1964 4 cylinder 4000.
Very similar in most ways to the 800 series.
You're describing the 5 speed transmission on the 850/860,
both of which were part of the 800 series.
The valve fits the 800/900 series in the same place.
You can see the two bolts on the left in the picture, there
are two more on the right, barely visible under the hose.
There should be a plate bolted on with them now that has
a plug in it. I don't have a picture of that handy.
As Old mentioned, the valves can be pricey. Single is less $$.

Ok that's what I meant is the rear end not the Trans sorry,
that's what I was going to do anyway is just make a plate for a
different valve but for $50 ill get that one and does this port
have a relief valve or will the new valve need one and do these
tractors have any type of filter on the hyd system.
Thanks

The adapter plate redirects the flow after the pump and before the 3 point control valve, and does not have its own relief valve. Most external control valves can be had with a built-in relief valve.
