hat do you mean by "cover"? Do you mean the plug at end of unloader valve?

You sure make us do a lot of guessing. Do you have the baffle plate and the plug removed? Do you want to know how to remove the plug? The unloader valve, after the plug is out? Or maybe how to slip a rubber band over the door knob?

If the pictures do you any good, you can thank my friend TX641D.

Or get creative - use what you have for the plate

Beware, that is a fine thread bolt that JMOR posted. I think it was 3/8 or 1/2" but that is from my memory (I have a bad case of CRS), check it. Keep adding washers until the plug comes out.

You can push the unloader valve out from the other end with a long small diameter screw driver or something similar. Don't force it. I should come out with just a little resistance. One out you can remove the o-ring from the unloader valve, clean the valve and bore and replace the o-ring. Try not to use abrasives or wire brushes. You don't need any new scratches in there.

To put the plug back in just tap it with a soft hammer.
