My Ford 6500 tractor makes a "clunk" noise when shifting from reverse to forqward or vise versa only after the machine is warm ~ 1hr of operation. It appears to be from the trasmission. I have replaced the trans fluid and filter and that did not help. Any Ideas... Thanks...

I don't think anyone else on here has a 6500, but you and me. I have never been able to get an answer about them. There are some guys that know about that transmission on Heavy Equipment Forum. Give them a try if this forum doesn't help. It sounds like a torque converter to me.

Independent of the model, I had a similar issue with one of my tractors and it turned out the lug nuts were loose. It was probably the easiest possible problem to have, I just torqued the lugs and it fixed it.
