I know you're trying to corner the market on those RCs.
Went to a big dealer auction today. Kenny bought a real good 960 there. PS, good tin, 60% or better tires. Paint is poor. Good OP, runs real good. Paid $1800 for it. Tractors generally went pretty high but this one I thought was a bargain.
I bought some Ford weights which I hope to resell.
Ford dealer signs went way out of sight.

960 looks good.I saw your ad about the weights.Would like them but the shipping would take forever .k
Kind of like the front bumper weight!

she does look straight. rims look rather intact too.

there's a diesel SOS NF with rotted PA rims somewhere near me ( same area code ). but it's a non starter.. and guy wants restored money for it.

so.. can;t start. can't test sos. and has bad rubber all around .. and bad rear PA.

abd he wants 4000 for the rare tractor.

:(

I don't know where you are located, but there is a 981 that looks pretty decent for $1800.00 on the Northern Michigan Craiglist. Says it comes with tire chains, and Ford owner and service manuals.

Looks like a good catch. I have a 960, a 961, and a 971D. It looks like the steering is a little messed up. The side that the hoses go in should be on the top, and it looks like maybe the drag ling is reversed. The bend looks off.

I'm pretty sure that this is right.

Looks like your friend Kenny scored a good deal. Looks to be a '55 model? I've seen a lot worse go for more money.
The question is if you help with the paint job will it be red or BLUE?

I thought I had taken a couple of photos but I guess not.
One item was an old, badly weathered, two sided Ford Tractors and Equipment sign. About 5' X 5'.
The Blue letering was very faded but still legible. Would have been nice inside your garage.
Went for $450 or thereabouts.
Another item was a Ford Tractor literature rack.
Made of metal - painted gray with Red lettering. Said get more done with Ford Tractors and Equipment. Went for about $350.
The nicest thing there was a little Ford buckboard wagon.
It was inside with the literature. I had to get loaded up and leave so didn't stay for that.

He'll want it Red/Gray.
I generally do all his painting so will paint it whatever color he wants. Unless he wants it Green and Yellow. Then he'll have to do it him self.
BTW, The spinouts looked good. Some surface rust but no heavy rot visible from the outside. All the locks, etc were intact.
