5000 3pt selector knob?

Hi, I have a '66 Ford 5000 and my 3pt hitch is no longer going up. It used to work fine, and the hydraulics for the FEL still work fine. I think the problem is the selector knob ("1 in the image), which doesn't seem to move in or out. Could one of you guys describe the proper motion of that knob? I think it's supposed to be in for 3pt, and out for aux.

The knurling suggests that this knob should spin in and out? Or does it just pull straight out and push straight in?

I do have the position selector lever (#5) in the up position, although it's down in the photo. I should have taken a new photo since I cleaned up and painted it, but you get the idea.

Thanks for any advice,

Troy

No 1 pulls strait out, feeds #2. #3 runs cylinder. #4 flow control, controls rate of 3pt lift in small increments up not down.#5 up for position, down for draft. #6 quadrent for SOS if if equipt. I see now take bungee cord off remote handle move to nuetral. You have seperate valve for loader?!

I've always wondered how the heck to use #2 with the remote valve installed. There's times when the extra single acting cylinder control could come in handy.
