TW35 part ID - brake line?

TW sprung a leak yesterday, at the arrow in the
picture. Dribbles at idle, sprays the front fender
at 2000 rpm. I -think- it's the supply line for
the brake master cylinder, (p/n EONN2N360AA,
reference #35 under Brakes, brake controls, TW35
on Messick's site) but I'm not 100% sure. I need
to get it ordered today, and my 'local' NH dealer
does much better if I can supply part numbers...
they aren't really Ford guys. Hoping one of you
can confirm that's the right part, or steer me in
the right direction.

Hmmm... red arrow shows in Photobucket, but not here. It's the larger line near the left edge of the photo, the one that's part steel line and hose.

Not sure which line you are talking about, but regardless, I wouldn't waste your time with NH - it's likely NLA. Take the line off and head to a hydraulic shop.

Find a good hydraulics shop... or on second though... mabey a not so good shop that will do what you want. Cut the crimp off and try to salvage that metal part of the line/fitting. Then just get a piece of gates hose crimped on to replace it. Hopefully they still have some sleeves and not just one piece fittings...
I would bet that the fitting on the end of that steel line is some odd ba$tard that nobody has. Ford was great at doing stupid things like that.

yea do the hydraulic shop method.. I will say, Ford used some funky hydraulic ferrules on some things that are part of the pipe. I have before cut their hose end off entirely, reamed out a male pipe hydraulic hose fitting to a nice snug fit with the old tubing slid in and brazed the joint. Sounds really complicated but it's a 10 minute thing to make if you have the tools.

That's funny, Last summer I had an end going into the steering cylinder on my 9000 go. It never occurred to me to go to CNH. I took the fitting to the hydraulic shop and they fixed me right up.

I've got my share of brazed and welded fittings around here too... we do what we got to do at times.

And now the arrow shows....
Thanks guys - I'll get it off there and into Napa Monday. That's the only local place that makes hoses now. Worth a shot, anyway. Certainly can't be any worse than the $170+ that Messick's shows a new one costing...
